Who Is Jesus

One day Jesus asked his disciples: “But whom say ye that I am?” (Matthew 16:15). It is the most important question anyone can ever be asked, and the answer changes everything.

This course helps you answer it, starting from the Bible. Jesus himself said that the Scriptures speak of him (John 5:39); that is why our journey begins in the Old Testament and ends at the empty tomb.

In the first module we will face the decisive question and see why we can trust what the Gospels tell us about Jesus.

In the second module we will discover how the Law, the Prophets and the Psalms announce and prepare for the coming of the Messiah.

In the third module we will contemplate the mystery of the incarnation: Jesus, truly God and truly man, prophet, priest and king.

In the fourth module we will look at his work — the cross, the resurrection and the ascension — and learn to recognize the errors about Christ that circulated yesterday and still circulate today.

As in every BereaWay course, we will receive the texts in their context, examine them carefully and connect them with one another, because all of Scripture converges on Christ. This course is an introduction: if you want to go deeper, you can continue with the advanced Christology course.
