Christian Education and Sunday School
Teaching the faith to the next generation
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). Passing on the faith to the next generation is one of the most beautiful and important tasks God entrusts to parents and to the church.
This course is designed for Sunday school teachers, youth leaders, parents and church leaders who want to serve with greater understanding. To teach is to leave a mark; to educate is to lead out, to help someone grow. Both are deeply biblical.
In the first module we will discover why teaching is biblical, what pedagogy is, how Jesus is the model both of growth and of a teacher, and what responsibility rests on those who educate.
In the second module we will move to the tools: teaching methods, how to teach at every age and how to prepare a lesson step by step.
In the third module we will look at the Sunday school: its history and how to organize it today, with attention to welcome, teacher training and child safeguarding.
As in every BereaWay course, each lesson starts from the Word, examines it carefully and connects it to the real life of classes and families.
